An assistant with access to your inbox and your calendar can do real damage in a moment of confidence. Vera is built so that she cannot. She composes and she proposes; the send, the invite, the sign-up and the purchase are yours.

This is not a setting you switch on. It is how the product is built, and it is the reason people who would never hand an AI their email will hand it to her.

There is nothing to install. Vera runs in the browser on a phone or a computer, and there is a free allowance of live voice conversation every day for everyone, with a paid plan for people who want considerably more of it.

The mobile apps are coming to the App Store and Google Play.

Common questions

What is Vera?
An AI assistant you hold a spoken conversation with. She keeps you company, answers questions, reads and explains documents, and works with your calendar and email — in English, Spanish, German, Japanese or Korean.
Do I have to type?
No. You speak and she answers out loud. You can type if you prefer, or if you are somewhere you would rather not talk.
Do I need to learn how to prompt her?
No. Say what you want the way you would say it to a person. There are no commands to memorise and no wording that works better than another.
Can she send email or change my calendar without asking?
No. She drafts and proposes; you approve. Nothing is sent, booked or signed up for until you say yes.
Does she remember me between conversations?
Yes. She remembers what you have told her so you are not starting over each time. You can ask her what she remembers, and you can ask her to forget it.
What does it cost?
There is a free daily allowance of live voice conversation for everyone. A paid plan is available for heavier use. The current figures are on the plans page.
Is there an app?
Vera runs in the browser today, on a phone or a computer. Apps for iPhone and Android are coming to the App Store and Google Play.
